Job
Description: Head Coach
Main purpose of the role: To provide structured coaching, development
and fitness of senior players and to ensure the Club is able to field
the strongest team(s) wherever possible.
Actual
duties include: Take full responsibility for all coaching staff
ensuring they attend training on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the senior
players. Work in co-operation with the Club's Coaching Co-ordinator
ensuring all coaches take a full and active role in carrying out the
coaching and training sessions.
- Take full responsibility
for coaching and training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings using best
endeavours to encourage as many of the clubs players to attend as
possible.
- Sit on Playing Committee
for team selection working with Club Captain, 1 st XV Captain and
team management to ensure that Hadleigh RUFC field the strongest possible
team at all times.
- Have regular contact with
the players ensuring their availability for matches and identify transportation
requirements, if required, on match days. Transportation assistance
is available from Committee members.
- Attend all 1 st XV matches,
league and cup, home and away. You will be assisted by other members
of the Committee if required.
- Take full responsibility
for the team's preparation on match days ensuring tactics, set pieces,
and key responsibilities are communicated to the players.
- Open the changing rooms
on training evenings making sure the facilities are available from
7:30 pm. Also ensure the site is made safe and secure when leaving.
It is especially important to remember to close and lock the barrier
gate. A set of keys will be allocated to you for this purpose.

- Provide feedback to the
Playing Committee regarding any matter concerning coaching, players,
matches etc, which requires the Committees attention/action.
- Maintain communication
throughout the season with all the Club's players and using your best
endeavours encourage them to be fully committed to helping the Club
achieve it's key objectives.
