Code of Conduct – For Parents/Guardians

  • Please encourage your child/children to learn and understand the rules of rugby and to play within these rules. They will get so much more enjoyment and satisfaction knowing the rules of the game they are playing.
  • Please encourage your child/children to conduct themselves within the true sportsmanship of the game and to act with self-discipline both on and off the pitch.
  • Teach your child/children to recognise that good performances both individual and team is more important than a good result.
  • Please do not force your child/children into sport or to take part in training on Sunday mornings. They should be enthusiastic and want to take part and not to be told.
  • We encourage all parents/guardians to set a good example by praising fair play and applauding the good performances of the team as well as your child/children
  • Please do not punish or belittle your child’s/children’s performance, be constructive and not destructive.
  • Support the judgement made by the match officials and also by the Club’s Coaches. Never criticise or abuse match officials.
  • Support your child’s/children’s involvement in sport and help them to enjoy their interest rugby both at the Club and at home.
  • Hadleigh Rugby Club is a family orientated Club and all negative and foul language must be discouraged.
  • We encourage all parents/guardians to become actively involved in the Club as volunteers. If you wish to become a volunteer please contact one of the Club’s Coaches or Officers.

Parking

We would draw your attention to the parking at the front of the Clubhouse.

Although the Clubhouse is the property of Hadleigh Rugby Union Football Club, the site is the property of Hadleigh Town Council. The car park is provided for the purpose of all spectators, visitors, members, officers, volunteers, parents/guardians etc.

When parking your car, please be considerate to other motorists who may wish to use the car park and do not take too much room.

Please DO NOT park in front of the chain link fence as this is the emergency access onto the sports field for ambulance and medical people. Also please DO NOT park in front of the gates below the Clubhouse as these are in constant use and access is needed at all times.
