Youth
& Mini
Sunday morning training will go ahead
as planned.
It will be a shorter session as Player
of the Month takes place in the Clubhouse at 11:30.
The U13's match is at home now (11:00
a.m. kickoff) and they will be using the 2nd XV pitch, which means that
the Minis training will need to use the 1st XV pitch (and possibly the
area between the Cricket Pitch and Rugby pitches, depending on the condition
of the 1st XV pitch).
The pitch condition is being checked
on Saturday. It will only be pitch condition that will call off training,
not rain.
We start a
new season that sees the Mini and Youth section fully integrated with
the senior club and as such one big Hadleigh Rugby club.
You will note
this season that due to kind sponsorship the Mini and Youth (6yrs to
17yrs) will be playing their competitive matches in the CLUBS' colours
of Maroon and White stripes.
Pre season
coaching meetings have taken place under the watchful eye of our Coaching
Co-ordinator (Mark Yates) who will work in tandem with the Club
Head Coach (Matt Jackson) to ensure the coaching the players receive
is the best possible to give them a solid foundation to play rugby for
many years.
We start the
sessions at 10:30am on a Sunday morning and finish at 12 noon. The kitchen
is open during that time and we have Karen, Claire and Natasha who work
extremely hard to ensure cups of tea and bacon rolls are available for
the parents during the sessions.
So.... If
you have never been before and you would like your Son or Daughter to
come and learn a new sport, bring them down on a Sunday morning and
give us a look.
Your youngster
will not need any special kit in the first few weeks and we have a boot
exchange scheme and a club shop that provides training equipment under
the management of Jackie.
Come and watch
for a morning, discuss with one of our many RFU qualified coaches the
right time/group for your children to start and away you go.
